Discover Alfa Laval Culturefuge 200 at ACHEMA 2015

At ACHEMA 2015 in Frankfurt am Main, 15-19 June, Alfa Laval shares its wide range of well-proven formulas and services for optimizing chemical, biotech and pharmaceutical production and industrial wastewater treatment. One of the products on display is Alfa Laval Culturefuge 200, the latest addition to our separator range, purpose-built to meet the requirements of the biopharmaceutical industry.

The gentle way to separation

Culturefuge 200 expands Alfa Laval’s range of hermetic cell culture centrifuges, designed for gentle harvesting of shear-sensitive material in applications involving mammalian cell cultures and precipitated proteins. The Culturefuge separator features our unique hollow spindle feed arrangement, which ensures a very gentle, low-shear acceleration of the feed liquid.

Culturefuge 200 prevents the release of unwanted intracellular proteins and minimizes the potential damage of fragile particles. Special care has been taken with maintaining hygienic standards and the unit can be sterilized and cleaned-in-place. In addition, the solids-ejecting system with fast and partial discharge ensures low product losses and drier solids.
